Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday made fun of the film ‘Ajay: The Untold Story of a Yogi’ based on the biography of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He targeted CM Yogi and claimed that even BJP MLAs did not see this film.
Akhilesh wrote in a post on X, “The film has lost on screen, but the dialogue is going on. It is heard that 4 BJP MLAs did not go to watch the film, and no one has posted a photo while watching the film. It seems that the producers of the film forgot to release the whip to watch the film. This argument will make the government fall, and this will be the first government which is not in ‘House’, not in ‘House’, but in ‘cinema hall’.
He further predicted that voters would reject the Yogi government in the 2027 assembly elections.
Yadav further said, “The film critics are saying that an SIT should be set up to investigate the cause of the film’s failure; Well, one of the reasons is that the audience wants to watch true emotional films, but this film is far from truth and human sensations.”
He said, “Right now the audience has rejected them; after 2024 voters will reject them again and their ego will be removed.”
It is worth noting that ‘Ajay: The Untold Story of a Yogi’ is a biographical film based on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, which is inspired by Shantanu Gupta’s biography ‘The Monk Hu Bikem Chief Minister’.
Directed by Ravindra Gautam and produced by Ritu Mengi, the film stars Anant Joshi in the lead role, as well as Dinesh Lal Yadav, Ajay Mengi, Pawan Malhotra, Rajesh Khattar, Garima Vikrant Singh and Sarwar Ahuja in lead roles.
A special screening was held in Delhi on Thursday and the film was released in theaters on September 19.
