The Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday released its first list of 71 candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. Let us tell you that voting for the 243-seat assembly will be held on November 6 and November 11, while counting of votes will take place on November 14.
According to the release, the BJP Central Election Committee meeting was held on October 12 under the chairmanship of Jagat Prakash Nadda. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah and other members of the Central Election Committee were present in this meeting.
The Central Election Committee has approved the names of Mangal Pandey for Siwan and Tarkishore Prasad for Katihar.
For Bihar Assembly elections, tickets have been given to Ramkripal Yadav from Danapur, Nitin Nabin from Bankipur, Renu Devi from Bettiah, Prem Kumar from Gaya Town, Shreyasi Singh from Jamui, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha from Lakhisarai and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary from Tarapur.
Earlier on Sunday, the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) announced its seat-sharing arrangement for the upcoming Bihar elections, in which BJP and JDU will contest on 101 seats each, LJP (Ram Vilas) on 29 seats, Rashtriya Lok Morcha on six seats and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) on six seats.
NDA allies include Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Janata Dal (United) (JDU), Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) and Rashtriya Lok Morcha.
This announcement was made by Bihar BJP in-charge Vinod Tawde in a post on social media. Tawde wrote, “Organized and dedicated NDA, for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, all the members of the NDA family have completed the distribution of seats with mutual consent in a cordial environment, which is as follows – BJP 101 seats JD (U) – 101 seats LJP (Ram Vilas) – 29 seats RLM 06 seats HAM – 06 seats The leaders and workers of all the parties of NDA have taken this decision. Has been welcomed with great joy. All the partners are gearing up and determined to form the NDA government once again in Bihar.”
In these elections, NDA will face India Block led by RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav, Congress, CPI (ML) led by Dipankar Bhattacharya, CPI, CPI(M) and Mukesh Sahni’s Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP).
This time a new player will also arrive in Bihar in the form of Prashant Kishore and his party Jan Suraj.
