Bhopal, March 4 (IANS). Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has called upon the people of the state to celebrate every festival with intimacy and harmony.
While giving Holi greetings and good wishes to the people of the state at the Holi Milan function organized at the Chief Minister’s residence on Wednesday, Chief Minister Yadav said that this festival should spread new colors of happiness, peace and prosperity in every courtyard and the color of harmony, positivity and unity should always shine in the society.
The Chief Minister called upon everyone to celebrate the festival with cordiality and harmony. In the Holi Milan ceremony organized at the Chief Minister’s residence, amidst flying colors, gulal and flower showers, everyone enjoyed the festival with decency in an atmosphere filled with joy and enthusiasm with Holi songs of Braj-Barsana, traditional music and peacock dance.
He received blessings from the saints who came to the Chief Minister’s residence. Greeted the senior and distinguished citizens and welcomed everyone as host by showering flowers and spraying gulal on all the visitors. He applied gulal to the artists giving cultural performances and also accompanied them with traditional musical instruments.
Many traditional dishes including Gujiya, Balushahi, Thandai were served to everyone in the get together organized on the occasion of Holi at the Chief Minister’s residence.
