CM Bhupendra Patel and Seychelles High Commissioner meet in Surat, emphasis on increasing investment

Gandhinagar, May 1 (IANS). Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Friday held an important meeting with Seychelles High Commissioner to India Harisoa Lalatiana Akuche, who came to attend the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference of South Gujarat Zone in Surat.

During the meeting, Seychelles High Commissioner Lalatiana Akuche noted the strong relations between India and Seychelles. He also expressed the need to further strengthen relations between Gujarat and Seychelles through investment in key sectors such as renewable energy and tourism.

The Chief Minister thanked Seychelles for participating in the VGRC and extended an invitation to participate in the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027.

During this meeting, Chief Secretary MK Das, Additional Chief Secretary of Industries and Mines Department Mamta Verma, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Sanjeev Kumar, Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. Vikrant Pandey, Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. Ajay Kumar and representatives of Seychelles were present.

The Chief Minister further said, “He highlighted the need to further deepen the partnership through mutual investment in key sectors such as renewable energy and tourism. Appreciated Seychelles’ participation in the VGRC and invited them to attend the ‘Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027’ for further collaboration.”
