Dehradun, July 25 (IANS). Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday flagged off the ‘Run for Kargil Heroes’ marathon at Shaurya Sthal in Chirbagh, Garhi Cantt, Dehradun, ahead of Kargil Vijay Diwas.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid tribute to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country by offering floral tributes. Later he flagged off the ‘Run for Kargil Heroes’ marathon as part of the commemorative programs ahead of Kargil Vijay Diwas.
While talking to the media, CM Dhami said that such warriors, such heroes, who raised the honor of India and showed bravery as an inspiration for the coming generations, should always remain in our memory. May the coming generations in the history of India continue to be inspired by him and move forward in the field of patriotism, patriotism and social service. That is why today we are organizing this event on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas. A large number of youth and youth have come here. Everyone is taking a pledge of patriotism with one voice and taking a pledge to take the country forward.”
He said, “The Kargil war was such a war in the history of India, in which the Indian armies fought by climbing difficult peaks, displayed indomitable courage and bravery. This was the first war in which the Indian Army won on the battlefield and also on the table of agreements, India registered victory under the leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. In this, the army soldiers, with their bravery and martyrdom, gave a historic victory to India.”
Meanwhile, regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message and decisions related to education, Dhami said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made every effort to advance the youth during his tenure. Immediately after becoming the Prime Minister, he created the Skill Development Department, promoted startups and in the last 12 years, 17 crore employment opportunities were created, which provided employment to 17 crore people. In comparison, between 2004 and 2014, only 2 crore people were provided employment.” Found, whereas in these 12 years, 17 crore employment opportunities have been created and appointment letters have also been distributed to 12 lakh people.
