Bhagalpur, March 17 (IANS). Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reached Bhagalpur on Tuesday as part of his Samriddhi Yatra, where he remotely inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 144 developmental schemes worth Rs 442 crore for the district.

These include inauguration of 88 schemes at a cost of Rs 171 crore and foundation stone of 56 schemes at a cost of Rs 271 crore. The Chief Minister also reviewed the ongoing development schemes in Bhagalpur district during the Samriddhi Yatra.

Reviewed the developmental and welfare schemes related to the district in the premises of Gram Panchayat Baijani of Jagdishpur block. The Chief Minister took information from the officials about the implementation of various schemes announced during the Pragati Yatra. During the review, the Chief Minister directed to complete the approved schemes related to his Pragati Yatra at a rapid pace.

He said that the main objective of the government is that all people should be respected and their living should be easy. Instructing all the officers to implement the schemes with sensitivity, the Chief Minister said that the aim of the government is to include Bihar in the category of the most developed states of the country.

The Chief Minister said, “Our government has set a target of providing jobs and employment to one crore youth in the next five years. The government is encouraging the people who are self-employed and setting up industries in the state by providing them many types of facilities. Special economic packages are being given to entrepreneurs to set up industries in Bihar, which will provide a lot of help to the entrepreneurs setting up industries in the state. Facilities are being provided in all the districts to set up industries.”

He said that the aim of the state government is to promote industries in Bihar and provide maximum employment to the youth. Startup policy has been made in the state so that youth can start their own employment. We are working to ensure that the youth of our state become skilled and capable.

During this visit, the Chief Minister also inspected many schemes and also participated in the public dialogue program. During the review meeting, Bhagalpur District Magistrate Dr. Naval Kishore Chaudhary gave detailed information to the Chief Minister about the schemes related to Pragati Yatra, Saat Nishchay-2 and Saat Nishchay-3.

Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Water Resources cum Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Industry cum Road Construction Minister and Minister in-charge of Bhagalpur district Dilip Kumar Jaiswal and other senior officials were present in the review meeting.
