New Delhi, July 15 (IANS). BJP national spokesperson RP Singh on Wednesday commented on various national and political issues. He expressed his frank opinion on many issues including Saifuddin Soz’s statement regarding Article 370, CM Yogi’s statement regarding Ramlila and Kanwar Yatra, the proposed Uniform Civil Code (UCC) draft of Madhya Pradesh.
On Congress leader Saifuddin Soz’s comment regarding re-implementation of Article 370, RP Singh said that Soz is not only talking about Articles 370 and 35A, but he is talking in the direction of autonomy, autonomy and independent state of Jammu and Kashmir. This kind of attitude of Congress leaders is not new. Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge are maintaining silence on this issue. Congress adopts such stance because of Muslim vote bank politics and it sees nothing beyond Muslim appeasement.
On Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s statement regarding Ramlila and Kanwar Yatra, BJP spokesperson said that history is witness that Congress had banned Kanwar Yatra and also raised questions on the existence of Lord Ram. Referring to Kapil Sibal, he said that he had sought to postpone the hearing of the Ram Mandir case and now he is a Rajya Sabha member. Congress and its allies have the same thinking and their aim is to defame the Sanatan tradition.
Supporting the Madhya Pradesh government’s proposal for mandatory registration of live-in relationships in the proposed Uniform Civil Code (UCC) draft, the BJP spokesperson said it is a welcome step considering the current social circumstances. Just as marriages are registered, live-in relationships should also be registered, because many times unpleasant incidents happen to women and especially daughters during such relationships. Keeping these circumstances in mind, the decision to include this provision in the draft is appropriate.
RP Singh hit back at Congress leader P. Chidambaram’s claims regarding delimitation and women’s reservation. He said that Congress betrays its allies and blames BJP. BJP is continuously appealing to all parties, especially Congress, to support the women’s reservation law. The policies of Congress have been anti-women and if any other party comes forward in support of women’s reservation, then Congress should not have any objection to it.
On the development of senior TMC leaders Madan Mitra and Anubrata Mandal leaving the party in West Bengal, he said that a big leader like Madan Mitra has also alleged that former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is ignoring other party leaders due to her extreme attachment towards her nephew. For this reason TMC leaders are leaving the party one by one.
On the ongoing internal tussle in Punjab Congress, BJP spokesperson said that Congress is proving unsuccessful in managing its own organization. Referring to the statement of Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel, he said that he has also accepted that this is not a ‘game of dolls’. The Congress leadership has imposed the state president, due to which many senior leaders like Charanjit Singh Channi, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Pratap Singh Bajwa and Pargat Singh are angry. Rahul Gandhi has no time to focus on the party’s internal crisis and does not think the situation within the Congress will return to normal any time soon.
Supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement on the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement between India and the United Kingdom, RP Singh said that this agreement will provide huge benefits to farmers, micro, small and medium industries (MSMEs) and Indian exporters. After this trade agreement, export of Indian products will be duty-free in many areas, which will directly benefit Indian agriculture and MSME sector. This agreement will further strengthen India’s economy and its competitive position in global trade.
