Delhi government has banned the sale, purchase and distribution of Coldriff cough syrup. An official order states that it has been declared “not of standard quality”.

According to the order issued on Friday, Coldrif Syrup (Paracetamol, Phenylephrine Hydrochloride, Chlorpheniramine Maleate Syrup) manufactured by Srisan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, Tamil Nadu in May 2025 was found to be adulterated with diethylene glycol (46.28 per cent w/v), which is a toxic chemical and considered harmful to human health. goes.
 
All stakeholders are directed to immediately stop the sale, purchase or distribution of the said batch of syrup. The order said that the general public has also been advised not to use this product in view of its potential health risks.
 
It said that cooperation of all stakeholders is required for strict implementation and wide dissemination of this public advisory issued in public interest.
