New Delhi, May 16 (IANS). A statement related to Sanatan Dharma by senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Digvijay Singh is again in the news. He has once again declared that he believes in Sanatan Dharma.
A video of Digvijay Singh and BJP leader Usha Thakur is becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which Singh is once again seen reiterating that he believes in Sanatan Dharma. In the video, Digvijay Singh said that I have been declaring and today again I am saying that I am a staunch follower of Sanatan Dharma. You accepted Sanatan Dharma only after I told you, earlier you people used to say only Hindu-Hindu.
In the video, BJP leader Usha Thakur says about Digviji Singh that yes, he is the elder brother. After this Digviji Singh says that I have been declaring and today again I am saying that I am a staunch follower of Sanatan Dharma. After I told you, you accepted Sanatan Dharma, earlier Hindus used to follow Hindu religion. I started calling it Sanatan Dharma.
Hearing Digvijay Singh saying this, BJP leader Usha Thakur said that we have been Sanatani since time immemorial. Countering this, Digvijay Singh said that you have been Sanatani since time immemorial. We are not his enemies. Are you as Sanatan as I am? Have you done Narmada Parikrama and do you observe Ekadashi fast?
On this Usha Thakur says that you are the elder brother and I have said that personally you are a staunch Sanatani but do not accept it publicly. Responding to this, Digvijay Singh said that I am saying it publicly and how should I make it public.
After this statement of Digvijay Singh, the BJP leader said that yes, I thank you, it is very good. After this Usha Thakur said that if you are Sanatani then you should respect the decision of the High Court. Responding to this, Digvijay Singh said that how did you accept that I protested.
