Discussion is going on regarding seat sharing before elections in Bihar: Chirag Paswan

Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief and Union Minister Chirag Paswan said on Thursday that discussions are going on within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) regarding the seat sharing formula.

In fact, ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections to be held in two phases next month, Chirag said that discussions are going on within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) regarding the seat sharing formula.

Chirag Paswan told reporters, “Discussions are going on. I have other responsibilities also. As long as I am a minister, I have the responsibility of the ministry. I am going for it now.”

LIP (RV) has called an emergency party meeting at its Patna office on Thursday to discuss the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections and organizational matters.

Amidst speculations regarding seat sharing among parties in NDA in Bihar, JP (RV) MP Arun Bharti said that the party’s election strategy will be decided in the meeting to be held in Patna on Thursday.

Speaking to ANI on Wednesday, Arun Bharti stressed the importance of the meeting ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections.

He said, “The party has called an important meeting on what will be the policies of our party regarding the elections, what strategy will be adopted… Whatever decision will be taken, you will be informed about it… Tomorrow’s meeting is important for us.”

The NDA led by BJP and JD(U) will face the India Bloc led by RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav, Congress, CPI(ML)’s Dipankar Bhattacharya, CPI, CPI(M) and Mukesh Sanani’s Vikassheel Insaan Party (VID). The new party, Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraj has also staked claim on all 243 seats in the state.

The Election Commission has announced the Bihar Assembly election schedule. Voting for 243 assembly seats will be held in two phases on November 6 and November 11, and counting of votes will take place on November 14.
