Patna, February 3 (IANS). On Tuesday, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will present the first ‘full budget’ of this new innings of the NDA government in Bihar. State Finance Minister Vijendra Prasad Yadav will present the income and expenditure accounts for the year 2026-27 on the table of the Legislature on Tuesday.
Speaking to news agency IANS, Bihar government minister Dilip Jaiswal said, “Bihar government will present the budget with the vision of development of the state in the next 20 years and this time the size of the budget will also be bigger. Special provisions have been made to increase the economic participation of women, in which the focus has been on making women self-reliant. In terms of infrastructure and connectivity, be it roads, air connectivity or railways – the Bihar government has made important allocations in this budget.”
He said that we are going to make provisions for skill development on a large scale. What’s happening right now? People are doing such studies like BA, MA and later have to face unemployment, so we have made a provision in this budget that after 10th class, people should be given skill development training and by opening incubation centers in technical institutes, we are going to give technical training to the people.
Dilip Jaiswal said that a lot of importance was given to agro industries in this budget. The focus is on how to make agriculture more prosperous for the farmer.
He said that we have made provisions in the budget in terms of education, health and electric power projects. Today Bihar is becoming the fastest developing state in the country. Bihar has also been mentioned in the Economic Survey. Bihar is going to present this budget with a vision for the coming twenty years.
Taking a dig at the opposition, Minister Dilip Jaiswal said, “When elections were held in Bihar too, leaders like Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Leader of Opposition in Bihar Tejashwi Yadav had raised questions on the Election Commission, especially made a lot of allegations regarding the SIR, but nothing happened from it. However, Bihar’s population of more than 14 crores, of which there are more than 7 crore voters, expressed confidence in the transparency of the Election Commission.”
