In Bihar Assembly elections, the contest is between NDA and Jan Suraj and the Grand Alliance will be at the third position. Jan Suraj founder Prashant Kishore again reiterated his claim on Monday and said that the announcements made by Tejashwi Yadav in the last 5 days have no meaning.
Prashant Kishor told news agency ANI, “We are visiting every assembly constituency. Grand alliance is in third place. The fight is between NDA and Jan Suraj. The announcements made by Tejashwi Yadav in the last 5 days do not make any sense. He is saying all this to become relevant and get into the race. No one is paying attention.”
Earlier on Sunday, speaking to reporters at an election rally in Madhubani, the Jan Suraj founder claimed that voters are moving beyond fear-driven choices between Nitish Kumar-BJP and Lalu Yadav-RJD, and presenting a leaderless, caste-neutral alternative focused on the youth of Bihar.
He said, “You will see a new political history being made in Bihar and the era that was going on for 30 years, in which people used to vote for Nitish Kumar-BJP out of fear of Lalu ji and used to vote for Lalu Yadav out of fear of BJP, is coming to an end.”
Kishore said, “A new option is emerging in Bihar and that option is not of any leader, any family or caste…This option is of the children of Bihar. If the Jan Suraj Party government is formed, then no one will have to leave the state for livelihood.”
Prashant Kishor also targeted RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and said, “If those who ruined Bihar are called ‘heroes’, then who is the villain? The people of Bihar know who have brought Bihar to this situation. They cannot be the heroes of Bihar.”
Meanwhile, Tejashwi Yadav on Sunday assured voters that his alliance will fulfill every promise it has made. He launched a scathing attack on the NDA, saying, “Nobody in the NDA is saying anything except abusing Lalu Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav.”
Taking aim at the NDA over its unfulfilled promises, he said, “What happened to two crore jobs, Startup India, Make in India? We believe in working. We are telling people what we will do in the next five years.”
The Grand Alliance had earlier declared Tejashwi Yadav as the CM candidate for the Bihar Assembly elections, while Mukesh Sahni of Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) was made the Deputy CM candidate.
Voting for the 243-seat Bihar Assembly will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11, the results of which will be declared on November 14.
