Mumbai, May 28 (IANS). Four vehicles of the convoy of Shiv Sena MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde collided with each other in Nanded city of Maharashtra.
This accident happened in Sathe Chowk area of the city. It is a matter of relief that no one was injured in this accident, although many vehicles included in the convoy were damaged.
According to the information, MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde had left for Naigaon from Nanded on Thursday morning. He was going to attend the review meeting of the party organized in Naigaon as part of ‘Shiv Samvad Tour’. Meanwhile, while leaving the city, suddenly a person came in front of his car at Sathe Chowk.
The driver immediately applied brakes to handle the situation. Due to the sudden stop of the vehicle moving ahead, three other vehicles coming behind could not stop in time and collided with each other one after the other. Within no time, four vehicles of the convoy met with an accident.
After the incident, there was chaos at the spot for some time, but soon the situation became normal. MP Shrikant Shinde is said to be completely safe. There is no information about anyone being injured in the accident.
Dr. Shrikant Shinde is considered a big face of Maharashtra politics. He is currently representing Kalyan Lok Sabha seat from Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction). He is the son of senior Maharashtra leader and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
Before coming into politics, Dr. Shrikant Shinde was a doctor by profession. He is an orthopedic surgeon i.e. a specialist in bones. He visited Navi Mumbai’s D.Y. Completed MBBS and MS (Orthopaedics) from Patil Medical College.
