Patna, July 18 (IANS). Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MLA Bhai Virendra on Saturday presented the party’s side on many important political and contemporary issues. During this, he talked about the health of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, Vande Mataram, Delimitation Bill, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and the resignation of chief spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari.
Speaking on Lalu Prasad Yadav’s health, brother Virendra told IANS that doctors have advised him to take special precautions. He told that Lalu Yadav has undergone kidney transplant and he has many health related problems. He also said that the area around his residence is not clean, hence extra vigilance is necessary regarding his care and safety.
Giving his opinion on Vande Mataram, Bhai Virendra said that singing the national anthem is completely right and it is in the interest of the country. He said that he supports it, but no such law should be made which would create unnecessary controversy. Every person should respect the national song.
On the Delimitation Bill and the ongoing discussions within the India Block, he said, “Let the bill come first. Last time also the bill had failed. Now the government is somehow trying to gather two-thirds majority so that it can pass its bill. Efforts are being made to bring many people to its side by threatening them with ED and CBI. But the India Block is completely united and determined.”
Bhai Virendra gave a sharp reaction when Defense Minister Rajnath Singh called RSS a ‘civilizational force’ and an organization serving the nation. He said, “They should remember where the RSS was when the country was fighting for independence. They were with the British and were helping them. When the people of the country were struggling for India’s freedom, they did not support that fight.”
It is noteworthy that Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is a civilizational power and an organization serving the nation, which does not need any government certificate or recognition.
At the same time, on the resignation of RJD’s chief spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari, brother Virendra clarified that his resignation has not been accepted. He said, “The party still considers Mrityunjay Tiwari as a part of RJD.”
