Gujarat: MLAs start getting calls for ministerial posts, CM Bhupendra Patel meets Governor before oath.

Gandhinagar, October 17 (IANS). The exercise of new cabinet formation has intensified in Gujarat. Information has come from sources that till now 4 to 5 MLAs have been informed over phone to take oath as ministers. Apart from this, some old faces will also be included in the new cabinet.

According to sources, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel himself is calling and giving information to the nominated ministers taking oath in his cabinet. Praful Pansheriya, Hrishikesh Patel, Kunwarji Bavaliya, Purushottam Solanki and Kanubhai Desai can be given another chance. At the same time, calls have been made to Dalit leaders Dr. Pradyuman Vaza, Harsh Sanghvi, Naresh Patel and Kanti Amritiya to take oath as ministers.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has come to meet Governor Acharya Devvrat. Information has come to light that the Chief Minister informed the Governor about the current status of the Council of Ministers of Gujarat and sought permission to organize the oath ceremony of the Council of Ministers members. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel met the Governor at Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar on Friday.

At the same time, Gujarat BJP leader and former Governor of Karnataka Vajubhai Vala has met BJP national president JP Nadda. After discussing for a long time, Vajubhai Vala came out of the circuit house.

Let us tell you that the new cabinet will be sworn in on Friday. Before the cabinet reshuffle, all 16 ministers of Gujarat had submitted their resignations to the Chief Minister on Thursday. The next day, Governor Acharya Devvrat will administer the oath of office and secrecy to the new ministers. Before the swearing-in ceremony, top BJP leaders including party national president JP Nadda had reached Gandhinagar.

This cabinet reshuffle is taking place after almost three years of the current tenure and a few months before important local body elections including municipal corporation and panchayat elections.
