Mumbai, 19 September (IANS). Various political leaders have welcomed the decision after a clean chit was given to Adani Group by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). The leaders described this decision as a result of transparent and fair investigation, as well as the report of Hindonberg Research as part of the conspiracy and slander.
BJP leader and former minister Raj K. Purohit launched a scathing attack on Hindonburg. He said, “Hindonburg is a fraudulent institution that operates from the US and targets industries in other countries from time to time. It ran away with money.
Bar Council of India President and BJP Rajya Sabha MP Manan Kumar Mishra called SEBI’s decision a result of fair investigation. He said, “SEBI has given a clean chit to the Adani Group after a thorough investigation. The report of Hindenberg was manipulated, which was to discredit some people. Now everything is clear.”
He further said that there was no irregularity in SEBI investigation and it was completely transparent. After the report, everything is clear now and SEBI’s decision dismisses the allegations made against the Adani Group.
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MP Praful Patel also reacted in the matter. He said, “Some people have been targeting Adani group for years without proof. Hindanberg is a paid institution that some people used for their selfishness. It is part of a large conspiracy, including Congress and other opposition parties in spreading lies.”
Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, while supporting SEBI’s decision, said, “Our democracy gives freedom to autonomous institutions such as Election Commission, Judiciary and Parliament to perform its duties. SEBI took this decision after a thorough review of the documents, which is their responsibility.
At the same time, Maharashtra government minister Chhagan Bhujbal also appreciated the decision and said, “It is a good thing that right and wrong was called wrong. SEBI’s decision is a symbol of fairness and transparency.”
