If Sharad Pawar joins NDA, we will welcome him: Yogesh Kadam

अगर शरद पवार एनडीए में आए तो हम उनका स्वागत करेंगे : योगेश कदम

Mumbai, July 9 (IANS). In Maharashtra politics, political rhetoric has intensified after the recent meeting between Sharad Pawar and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. On this issue, Maharashtra Minister of State for Home Yogesh Ramdas Kadam targeted Sanjay Raut and said that questioning the credibility of Sharad Pawar shows that Sanjay Raut cannot be truthful to anyone.

Yogesh Kadam said, “Sanjay Raut never belonged to Shiv Sena, rather he was a disciple of Sharad Pawar. Now when he did not like anything about his guru, he started expressing distrust in him.”

When asked whether Sharad Pawar would be welcomed if he joins the NDA in the future, Yogesh Kadam said, “Will absolutely welcome. Sharad Pawar has done a lot for Maharashtra. Today he is among the senior leaders of the state. If he joins the NDA, I will also get the opportunity to learn a lot from him.”

At the same time, Yogesh Kadam also targeted the opposition on the questions being raised regarding the ‘Maharashtra Missing Link’ project. He said that this is the same project which was rejected by the Congress. Congress neither had the courage to accomplish this nor the ability to face the economic and technical challenges.

He said that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde made this challenging project successful by using modern technology, which was once considered impossible. This project has brought about a major improvement in connectivity in the state.

On the landslide in the project area, Yogesh Kadam said that it should not be considered a huge loss. He said, “In my opinion, landslide is not such a big damage. Whatever necessary steps will be taken to prevent it in future, the government will definitely take them. But on the basis of this small damage, it is absolutely wrong to defame the entire project and tarnish the image of Maharashtra.”
