Internal strife has arisen again in AAP? Raghav Chadha said - did not want to speak but...', targeted the leaders

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha has once again targeted the leaders of his own party. Just a day earlier, while sharing a video he had said, “I have been silenced, but I am not defeated.” After this, many AAP leaders launched a scathing attack on Raghav Chadha, and now, Chadha has once again hit back. On Saturday, Raghav Chadha rejected the allegations leveled against him by the Aam Aadmi Party, calling them “false” and part of a “planned campaign”. He stressed that his purpose in Parliament was “to make an impact, not to cause chaos.”

Releasing a video, MP Raghav Chadha refuted three specific allegations that AAP had leveled against him. Chadha rejected claims that he had failed to join the opposition walkout; He termed the allegation as a “blatant lie”. Seeking evidence to prove his point, he pointed out that parliamentary proceedings are recorded on CCTV cameras; Therefore, if he had not actually joined the opposition walkout, the entire incident would have been captured in CCTV footage.

Responding to another allegation—that he had refused to sign a resolution related to the Chief Election Commissioner—Chadha said that no party leader had ever made any such request to him, neither formally nor informally. He further said that many other MPs from his party had also abstained from signing the proposal.

Throwing light on her parliamentary work, Chadha said she has consistently raised public-friendly issues in Parliament, including GST, income tax, air pollution in Delhi, water issues related to Punjab, public healthcare, education, issues affecting railway passengers, menstrual health, unemployment and price rise. He stressed that Parliament is run on taxpayer money, and it is his duty to voice their concerns. Furthermore, he claimed that every lie would soon be exposed.

What is the whole story behind this controversy related to Raghav Chaddha? The controversy comes against the backdrop of deep internal differences within the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)—a difference that recently came to light after Raghav Chadha was removed as the party’s deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha and replaced by another MP. Although the party has not given any official explanation for the move, it has sparked speculation over internal party differences and possible changes in parliamentary strategy.

Since his removal, Chadha has faced criticism from some sections of the party leadership; These people have accused him of not following the party line in Parliament and giving priority to “soft PR” instead of core political issues. Questions have also been raised about his involvement in the opposition’s tactics—including parliamentary walkouts and coordinated stances; Some leaders have even said that he did not seem to be politically in sync with the party. Along with this, Chadha has alleged that he is being sidelined within the party. Reports suggest that the leadership also tried to curtail his opportunities to speak in the House, further fueling speculation over growing differences.

The matter has now turned into a public war of words, with senior leaders openly criticizing Chadha and questioning his political stance; Chadha has hit back and said that despite raising issues of public interest in the Parliament, he is being targeted. The development assumes significance as Chadha has long been considered one of the prominent young faces of AAP and a close aide of the leadership.
