Jan Suraj founder Prashant Kishor accused the BJP of forcing three declared candidates of the Jan Suraj party to withdraw their nominations in the last three-four days and said that the BJP is trying to create such an environment that we are scared.
Kishor said during a press conference in Patna that he will not rest until BJP is defeated in Bihar and NDA is uprooted.
He said that if anyone is feeling the most danger in the Bihar elections, it is the BJP.
“Over the past few years, the BJP has built a reputation of forming the government no matter who wins the elections. Now they have started a new campaign in Bihar. The election process has started and if anyone is feeling most threatened, it is the NDA’s BJP,” Kishore said.
He said, “They are using the grand alliance to scare the public and say vote for us, otherwise Lalu’s jungle raj will return. In the last four-five days, three declared Jan Suraj candidates who had filed nominations were forced to withdraw their nominations.”
He stressed that Jan Suraj will not back down and is ready to contest the elections strongly.
He said, “We will not rest until we defeat the BJP and uproot the NDA. The results will come on November 14 and the truth will come out. They are trying to create such an atmosphere that we are scared. Prashant Kishor along with his Jan Suraj allies are not afraid of anyone.”
“Buy as many candidates as you want, threaten as many candidates as you want and imprison as many candidates in their homes as you want. The election will be fought and it will be fought with such force that it will shake you. We are not a grand alliance,” Kishor said.
He alleged, “These people do not care about the candidates of the Grand Alliance. They will go to the public and say, ‘These are the people of Jungle Raj. If you do not want them to come back, then vote for us.’ But they are afraid of good people…they are not afraid of corrupt leaders. This is the fear of Jan Suraj. So many good people have been fielded that they don’t have the courage to fight. “There has been pressure put on friends and families of our candidates to withdraw their nominations.”
Kishore had earlier said that he would not contest the Bihar Assembly elections. However, election campaigning has intensified in the state and there is about a fortnight left for the first phase of elections.
Bihar will vote in two phases on November 6 and 11 and the results will be declared on November 14.
