Kanpur, June 15 (IANS). A young student from Kanpur has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressing concern about his safety. Ashutosh Yadav, who is preparing for competitive exams, says that in the last 12 years the country has made significant progress in the field of development and infrastructure, therefore there should not be any compromise with the security of the Prime Minister. In his letter, Ashutosh has supported the Prime Minister’s call and has also expressed his commitment to make every possible sacrifice in the interest of the country.

Kanpur resident Ashutosh Yadav is a competitive student. Recently, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for moderate use of petroleum products, caution in purchasing gold and reducing dependence on foreign goods, he wrote a letter to the Prime Minister. In the letter he supported the Prime Minister’s message and expressed his commitment in the interest of the country.

Speaking to IANS, Ashutosh said, “With the aim of reducing unnecessary pressure on Indian foreign exchange reserves, PM Narendra Modi had recently called upon the countrymen to use petroleum products in limited quantities. Along with this, he had also asked people to buy less gold. Also advised to exercise restraint in the purchase of foreign goods. I expressed my commitment to PM Modi’s call.”

“Through the news he came to know about the Prime Minister’s initiative to limit his security convoy,” he said. Although Ashutosh appreciated the simplicity of the Prime Minister, but also expressed concern about security. Ashutosh said, “My concern is about their safety. They should be careful about their safety, because in the global context, India is a rapidly emerging economy and there are many countries and people who would be worried about this progress of India.”

Student Ashutosh Yadav said that in my letter I expressed concern about the security of PM Modi. Along with this, I wrote in the letter that he and his entire family are with the initiative of PM Modi. He said, “There is an opportunity for any citizen to show patriotism by joining the army and protecting the country, but the one who has not got the opportunity to go to the border and protect the country, if he works in his own national interest, he will definitely be able to serve the country.

Student Ashutosh also said that he is ready to make any sacrifice for the country. He said, “When any global crisis happens, we all are affected, but being an Indian, if I have to sacrifice anything, then we are absolutely ready for it.”

He also praised the economic progress of the country. Ashutosh said, “India has joined the top five economies of the world after 2014. Along with this, highways, airports, IITs and IIMs have been built in the country. He said that projects like Chenab Bridge, rail connectivity in the Northeast and Mumbai Sea Link reflect the changing nature of the country. He said that better infrastructure increases both investment and employment.

Giving a message to the youth, Ashutosh said that in a democracy, one’s demands and disagreements should be expressed through constitutional and democratic means. He said that everyone has the right to protest, but any path that harms the unity, integrity and democratic system of the country should be avoided. Ashutosh Yadav says that national interest is paramount and moving forward with democratic values is India’s biggest strength.
