During this, demands were raised to effectively implement the existing laws and schemes and fix accountability of the responsible departments to improve the status of women. In the dialogue, the issue of making marriage registration law mandatory in every religion was raised. There was also a demand to take strict action against indecent remarks made against women during the election campaign.
Issues-
-There should be a woman police stationed in every police station so that the woman complainant can express her views openly.
-There should be a ban on the admission fees charged every year in private schools
-Accountability of officers of the department implementing women’s laws should be fixed.
-Awareness should be brought on schemes for the poor, especially rural women.
-Awareness should be brought about the rights to ancestral property
