Madhya Pradesh: Fatal attack on 60 year old woman at home in Umaria, accused arrested

Umaria, March 10 (IANS). A heart-wrenching incident in village Chansura under Indwar police station area of ​​Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh has shocked the entire area. Here, 60-year-old elderly woman Ramlali Mishra was fatally attacked in her own house with the intention of robbery. The woman was found in a critical condition, soaked in blood, and was immediately rushed to the hospital. After first aid, his condition became critical and he was referred to Katni.

Information about the incident came when Mangal Ahir of the village came to give milk to the woman as usual. When no response was received even after knocking and shouting for a long time, he became suspicious. People gathered nearby and informed the police. Indwar police station reached the spot and opened the door and looked inside to find the woman lying soaked in blood on the floor. The police immediately took him to Barhi Hospital, where the doctors referred him to Katni Medical College after first aid.

When the police registered the case and started investigation, shocking revelations came to light. Investigation revealed that the accused is Sachin, a youth from the same village who is a drug addict. With the intention of robbery, he entered the woman’s house at around 11.30 pm and attacked her with a hanger. Despite the woman screaming, no one could reach her. After seriously injuring the woman, the accused looted silver anklets, gold locket, motorcycle and other valuables and fled from the house.

With the help of informer’s information and digital evidence (mobile location, CCTV footage etc.), the police arrested the accused within a few hours. The accused was produced in the court, from where he has been sent to judicial custody. The police have intensified the search for the looted jewelery and other items.
