Bhopal, 24 December (IANS). Bhopal resident Lavkesh Mehra was an ordinary person till a few years ago, but today he is recognized as an example of courage, determination and success. His success story has become an inspiration not only for his family but also for the people around him, who are resolving to follow his footsteps.
Lavkesh’s inspirational journey began in the year 2021, when he left his job and started his own business by taking a loan of Rs 5 lakh under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana. This decision proved to be the turning point of his life. This venture not only changed his financial situation but also led to a tremendous increase in the turnover of his company, which was earlier Rs 12 lakh and has now crossed Rs 50 lakh.
His turnover in the first year of starting the business was Rs 12 lakh, but it increased rapidly over the next few years and eventually crossed the Rs 50 lakh mark. Initially, Lavkesh was worried about how he would be able to repay the loan of Rs 5 lakh, but the government guarantee and banking support gave him the courage to move ahead.
Sharing his success story, Lavkesh said, “When I got the Mudra loan of Rs 5 lakh for the first time, I was worried whether I would be able to repay it or not. But the system of giving loan without any guarantee by the government gave me confidence and strength to move ahead.”
“Today my turnover has increased from Rs 12 lakh to more than Rs 50 lakh and my loan has also increased from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 9.5 lakh. With this funding, I have expanded my business and am now working on around 30 products,” he said with pride.
Last year, Lavkesh also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During this, he told the Prime Minister how the government schemes helped in his success. Praising Lavkesh, the Prime Minister praised the role of Mudra Yojana in taking the youth forward.
Lavkesh Mehra told IANS that meeting the Prime Minister was a proud moment for him and his family. He said, “The Prime Minister inspired me in the same way as a father encourages his son to move ahead. After this meeting I got new energy not only to take my business forward but also to provide employment to others.”
In the end, he appealed to the youth of the country and said, “I want to tell the youth that they should not hesitate and move ahead with courage. The government is with you and the banking system is ready to help you.”
