राम मंदिर विवाद पर महामंडलेश्वर महंत रामेश्वर दास बोले- आस्था को ठेस पहुंचाने वालों पर हो सख्त कार्रवाई

Jammu, June 28 (IANS). Mahamandaleshwar Mahant Rameshwar Das held a press conference in Jammu on Sunday regarding the preparations for Shri Amarnath Yatra 2026. During this, he gave information about the arrangements being made for the devotees and appealed to the people to participate in the yatra with enthusiasm. He also reacted to the Ram Temple controversy and demanded strict action against those who harm the faith of Sanatan Dharma and Hindu society.

Mahamandaleshwar Mahant Rameshwar Das, while talking to IANS on the controversy related to Ram Temple, said that many questions have been raised regarding the feeling of respect for religion and culture in the systems made after the independence of the country. He said that there is a need to strengthen honesty and moral values in the society.

He said, “When the country became independent and the governments came to power, the respect and fear that should have been there for religion and culture in the systems that were made did not remain in the minds of the Hindu society. It was very important to have honesty in the laws and systems that were made.”

Mahant Rameshwar Das said that those who are raising questions on matters related to Ram Temple today, should introspect about their actions. He said that he strongly condemns the incident that happened in Ram temple. He described it as tarnishing the Hindu society and hurting the faith of the people.

He said, “We strongly condemn the incident that happened in the Ram temple. It has been done to tarnish the Hindu society and break the faith of the people, due to which we are worried. Action should be taken against the one who has done wrong.”

Mahamandaleshwar also expressed concern over the increasing materialistic thinking in the society. He said that in today’s time many people have started giving priority to money and for this they resort to wrong ways. He said that being a saint he will not shy away from speaking the truth and there is a need to promote honesty and morality in the society.

He said, “Speaking the truth is considered a big crime in today’s time. The system of flattery is running. Such thoughts and actions have to be eliminated from the society. Be it a leader, an administrative person or a saint, everyone should leave wrong thinking and follow the path of honesty.”

He said that no matter how much money a person accumulates, nothing goes with him after death. Therefore, there is no justification for hurting the sentiments of the society by following the path of unrighteousness.

Regarding the preparations for Shri Amarnath Yatra 2026, he said that there has been a tradition of holding a press conference before the Yatra and this event was organized in the same sequence. He informed that registrations for the Yatra will start from July 1 and the Yatra will be inaugurated through the Lieutenant Governor on July 2.

He appealed to the devotees to come fearlessly for the darshan of Baba Amarnath. He said that there is no problem of any kind on the yatra route and the administration and security forces are working well.

Mahant Rameshwar Das appreciated the efforts of the administration and the army and said that this year more facilities have been provided to the passengers as compared to previous years. He expressed hope that the arrangements will be further improved in the coming times.

He said, “Lakhs of people will come to see Baba. We all should come together and serve in this journey. We have got this life, no one knows whether we will get it again or not. Therefore, we should come forward and contribute in the works of service and religion.”
