Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday expressed happiness over the completion of 11 years of Make in India initiative. PM Modi said that the ‘Make in India’ initiative launched by the Center 11 years ago has contributed to the development of the Indian economy, leading the country to self -reliance.
PM Modi posted on X, “It is happy to see how 11 years of Make in India have contributed to further the foundation of economic strength and laying the foundation of self -reliance. It has encouraged innovation and employment creation in all areas.”
He said, “On the same day, 11 years ago, the Make in India initiative was initiated with the aim of accelerating India’s development and exploiting the entrepreneurship capacity of our country.”
He added, “Make in India has encouraged India’s entrepreneurs, which has created a global impact.”
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for promoting indigenous production in all areas and said that the government is standing shoulder to shoulder with stakeholders. He said that India will have to focus more on becoming an indigenous economy in its upcoming journey.
Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show-2025. Addressing a public meeting here, the Prime Minister said that the government has removed many unnecessary compliances so that businesses continue to flourish in the country.
Addressing the business community and traders present in the program, Prime Minister Modi said, “The government is emphasizing on make in India manufacturing. We want everything to be built in India from chip to ship; for this we are focusing on making your business easier. The government has ended more than 40,000 compliances and has made more than a thousand laws. Are.”
On the completion of 11 years of the success of the ‘Make in India’ initiative, Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Thursday appreciated the achievements of the Center in indigenous defense production.
Goyal posted on X, “The world is a witness to India’s defense manufacturing strength today! Inspired by the vision of PM Narendra Modi, the nation has achieved historical achievements in indigenous defense production, which reflects the success of Make in India initiative.”
India successfully launched a medium-range fire-prime missile from the rail-based mobile launcher system today, designed for a 2,000 km of firepower. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated the agencies concerned on this launch.
