Mamata Banerjee has not done any work for the people of the state: Agnimitra Paul

ममता बनर्जी ने प्रदेश की जनता के लिए कोई काम नहीं किया : अग्निमित्रा पॉल

Durgapur, January 28 (IANS). BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul targeted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Speaking to IANS on Wednesday, he said that during so many years of rule, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has not done any work for the welfare of the people till date.

He said that in 2008, when Tata’s Nano project came to Singur in West Bengal, the company was sent back. At that time Mamata Banerjee had said that we will provide employment to the youth of the state in large numbers. But, this government did nothing during so many years of rule.

The BJP leader said that these people had promised to provide employment to the youth while in power. But, during so many years of rule, these people have not decided to provide employment to any youth till date. If it had been given, today’s youth would not have had to go to other states for employment. Mamta Banerjee has only cheated the people of the state.

He said that Mamata Banerjee continuously organized many types of programs related to investment in the state. It has been claimed in these programs that we will pave the way for bringing investment in the state. But, till date no investment of any kind has been brought in the state. If it had been brought, a large number of youth would have got jobs today. But, the situation remains such that the youth have to take refuge in other states for employment and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee remains completely indifferent in this direction.

He said that now Prime Minister Modi has come to our West Bengal. He has promised us that in the coming days, West Bengal will be made the center of production. This will provide employment to other people. There are abundant resources in our state, which will be utilized. But, it is a matter of regret that the people of the state gave a chance to Mamata Banerjee. Till date he has not taken any step for the welfare of the people of the state.
