After the crushing defeat by BJP in West Bengal elections, TMC continues to disintegrate. Mamta Banerjee’s close associates are leaving her one by one. The probable list includes the names of many rebel leaders who may leave the party in the coming days. Amidst this political speculation, Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MP Babul Supriyo has issued a statement.

He further added, “All three of us are very sad and disappointed, but we are also happy that we have made you happy by proving your apprehensions completely correct. No complaints. Love to all, and thanks for your understanding. If any of you can do anything for us, please let us know. Eagerly awaiting good news.”
‘Respect for public order’
Supriyo also reminded that despite past political differences, he has worked with state governments while respecting public order. He says that political enmity has its place, but development work and public interest should be given priority.
Babul Supriyo said in his post, “I have no personal enmity with anyone. Everyone has the right to take their own decisions; however, I will not defend those who commit corruption, loot public funds and harm the system. Such people belong in jail and should be punished as per the law. I hope all the culprits are brought to justice.”
