Patna, July 16 (IANS). Giving a big blow to Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), senior party leader and spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari has announced his resignation from all posts. He alleged that despite working in the party with loyalty and dedication for a long time, he did not get respect, due to which he took this decision.
Mrityunjay Tiwari issued a video message saying that he made it clear in the presence of State President Mahabir Lal Mandal and other senior leaders in the state office that now there is no respect left in the party for a dedicated and loyal worker like him. In such a situation, there was no justification for continuing in the party.
He said that I had informed the party leadership several times about my displeasure and complaints. In particular, he presented his views to Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, but no attention was paid to his complaints. When a worker’s views are constantly ignored and he is not respected, it becomes difficult for him to do politics.
Referring to his political journey, Mrityunjay Tiwari said that he did not leave the party even during the most difficult times of RJD. He reminded that in the year 2014, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav had expressed confidence in him and made him the national spokesperson and media in-charge of the party. He fulfilled this responsibility with full devotion, honesty and dedication and strongly supported the party in every situation. If after working for the party for years, a worker does not get respect and his views are not given importance, then it becomes difficult for him to remain in the organization. For this reason he decided to resign from all posts in the party.
However, RJD State President Mangni Lal Mandal has refused to accept the resignation of Mrityunjay Tiwari as the final decision. Talking to news agency IANS, he said that Mrityunjay Tiwari is a very loyal, dedicated and influential worker of the party. Mrityunjay Tiwari has full faith, reverence and trust in Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav, hence the question of his resignation does not arise. Mangani Lal Mandal further said that if there is any kind of resentment then it will be resolved through talks.
