Patna, April 19 (IANS). Bihar NDA leaders have targeted the opposition for not passing the Women’s Reservation Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha. He said that the opposition is going to get its answer soon. Responding to Prime Minister Modi’s address, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary said, “The Prime Minister has said absolutely the right thing. The Prime Minister and all NDA parties including our party under his leadership support women’s reservation.”
Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Vijay Kumar Choudhary said, “What the Prime Minister has said is absolutely justified. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, all the parties of the NDA have everyone’s support towards women’s reservation and Bihar has been a leader in it. Today if the Prime Minister was reserving one-third of the posts for women in Parliament and in the Assemblies, then it was a welcome thing and all the parties should have supported it. Don’t know under what political thinking the opposition is opposing it. They should not have done this.”
He said that the opposition people are only working against the public. They are not paying any attention to the problems of the public, which is not right. The public will answer this soon.
JDU’s chief spokesperson Neeraj Kumar said, ‘Opposition people should talk about the problems of the public, but they do not. Because of this the Women’s Reservation Amendment Bill could not be passed.
Taking aim at the West Bengal Chief Minister, he said, “Many claims have been made regarding development works in West Bengal, but I did not see such examples at the ground level. One thing is very clear about Mamata Banerjee that she does not do politics based on issues. She is not concerned with women’s reservation.”
Neeraj Kumar said, “The ongoing tension in West Asia is a matter of concern and it is also impacting India to some extent. In such a situation, we have expressed our objection and the world has seen that the forces supporting terrorism were dealt with sternly through ‘Operation Sindoor’. This action was based on the consensus of all parties. We are in favor of peace and harmony, but if we are provoked, we will not spare anyone.”
