'NDA should announce its CM name': Grand alliance's chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi

Rashtriya Janata Dal leader and Grand Alliance’s chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav on Tuesday demanded that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) reveal its chief ministerial face for the Bihar elections. He talked about releasing his manifesto named ‘Tejaswi Pran Patra’ today.

Tejashwi said he would like to know the agenda and vision of the NDA and accused him of talking negatively and making allegations against the grand alliance leaders.

Tejashwi Yadav told reporters, “We have also announced the CM face. Today we are going to release the ‘Tejashwi Pran Patra’ on how we are going to work for the next 5 years. We want the NDA to announce the name of its CM. What plans do they have? What is their vision and how are they going to take Bihar forward? We have given a roadmap, a vision and we are clear that we will make Bihar number one. They will only be negative. They speak things and make allegations about our leaders.”

Earlier, on October 19, Union minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan had reiterated his support to Nitish Kumar as the leader of the NDA alliance in the Bihar assembly elections and said that after the results, the elected MLAs will once again elect the JD(U) leader as the chief minister.

Yadav also targeted Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, citing difficulties faced by passengers during Chhath Puja. He said that the people of Bihar have made up their mind to change the government in the assembly elections.

He told reporters, “Look, today we are campaigning, we have to go all over Bihar. The people of Bihar are in a mood for change; we have said this earlier also. The people of Bihar who had gone out and returned home during Chhath – it was very sad to see the condition in which they came back. The Railway Minister had announced that 12,000 special trains would be run, but just look at our brothers and sisters crammed into the trains – those What happened to the “special” trains?”

Earlier, on October 23, the Grand Alliance had announced the release of a joint manifesto for the Bihar Assembly elections. Subsequently, Tejashwi Yadav was declared the face of the opposition alliance for the elections.

Vikassheel Insaan Party chief Mukesh Sahni has been made the candidate for the post of Deputy CM on behalf of the Grand Alliance.

The main contest in the 2025 Bihar elections will be between the National Democratic Alliance and the Grand Alliance. The NDA includes Bharatiya Janata Party, Janata Dal (United), Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) and Rashtriya Lok Morcha.
