Four MLAs of Grand Alliance did not cast their votes
Senior Janata Dal (United) leader and minister Shravan Kumar claimed that all 202 NDA MLAs cast their votes, while four MLAs from the opposition Grand Alliance did not participate in the voting process. The RJD MLA from Dhaka, Faisal Rehman, and three Congress MLAs—Manohar Prasad Singh (Manihari), Surendra Kushwaha (Valmikinagar), and Manoj Biswas (Forbesganj)—did not cast their votes. Various leaders, including BJP national president and five-time MLA from Bankipur constituency Nitin Naveen, RJD national working president Tejashwi Yadav, BJP MLA Maithili Thakur, and jailed Janata Dal (United) MLA Anant Singh, exercised their franchise. Voting began at 9:00 am in the Bihar Assembly complex and continued till 5:00 pm. Counting of votes started after 5:00 pm. On the issue of disappearance of three Congress MLAs, Congress President Rajesh Ram said, “BJP has stolen our MLAs. This is the BJP government.

These three MLAs were in constant touch with us since the 13th. Till the night of 13th, all the MLAs were completely comfortable and we were in touch with them. After all, what happened that after the 13th our three MLAs suddenly went out of touch? Wherever BJP works, it forms government only by stealing votes. BJP steals our elected representatives. One of our MLAs came and told us that our MLAs have been placed under house arrest and police have been deployed outside their houses. It is difficult to say exactly when—sometime after the 13th—our MLAs were stolen. After consulting senior leaders, we will take appropriate action against them. This is a crime that cannot be forgiven.”
