Madhya Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Hemant Khandelwal has formed his new team, about three and a half months after assuming charge. On Thursday (October 23), officials and presidents of several fronts were appointed in the party organization. Hemant Khandelwal dismissed many members of the team of former state president Vishnu Dutt Sharma. He expressed confidence in some and even promoted them. He also tried to maintain ethnic and social balance by including some new faces.
7 women in the new team of Madhya Pradesh BJP
Seven women have been included in the new BJP team, including one general secretary, two vice-presidents and four ministers. Khandelwal, who will take over as state president in July 2025, has appointed nine vice presidents, four general secretaries and nine ministers in his team. He has also appointed presidents of Kisan Morcha, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Backward Class Morcha. Appointments have also been made to the posts of Treasurer, Office Secretary and Media Incharge.
Promotion of VD Sharma’s team members
Rahul Kothari and Lata Wankhede, who were secretaries when VD Sharma was president, have been appointed general secretaries. Rajya Sabha members Sumer Singh Solanki and Gaurav Ranadive have also been appointed general secretaries. Kavita Patidar, Bhagwan Das Sabnani, Harishankar Khatik, Ranbir Singh Rawat and Sharadendu Tiwari were general secretaries in Vishnu Dutt Sharma’s team. Rawat has been appointed vice president in the new team. Kantidev Singh, Prabhuram Chaudhary, Shailendra Barua, Manisha Singh, Dr. Nandita Pathak, Surendra Sharma, Nishant Khare and Prabhulal Jatav have been appointed as vice-presidents.
These people were not reinstated
Many leaders who were vice-presidents in the previous team, including MP Alok Sharma, Sumitra Valmik, Chaudhary Mukesh Singh, Seema Singh Jadaun, Jitu Jirati and Chintamani Malviya, have not been included in Khandelwal’s team. Ashish Usha Aggarwal has been retained as media in-charge, while Shyam Mahajan has been appointed office minister in place of Raghavendra Sharma. Mahajan was the vice president in the previous team. Akhilesh Jain has been retained as treasurer.
After this announcement, Hemant Khandelwal congratulated all the newly appointed office bearers and said that this will definitely infuse new strength and energy in the organization. In a post on ‘X’, he said, “I am confident that your energy, hard work, loyalty, experience and commitment will prove helpful in further strengthening the organization in Madhya Pradesh and taking the policies of the BJP’s double engine government to the people.”
