New Delhi, March 3 (IANS). Discussion has intensified in the political circles regarding Nishant Kumar, son of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, that after the Holi festival, he can be given a big responsibility by the party and Nishant can enter active politics. On such speculations, Congress MP Tariq Anwar said that Nishant Kumar will take forward the legacy of Nitish Kumar.
Congress MP Tariq Anwar spoke to IANS. He said that JDU is an independent party, a political party, so it is capable of taking its own decisions. Whatever decision he takes, keeping his interests in mind, he cannot be stopped. I think Nitish Kumar also wants his legacy to be taken forward.
Regarding the boycott of elections in West Bengal along with the issue of SIR, Congress MP Tariq Anwar said that it is correct. Whatever is happening behind the scenes of SIR in Bengal, the way the names of voters are being deleted. Even today, the statement of the Chief Minister has come in which she has said that especially from the places where TMC leaders have been winning, our traditional voters are being removed from the list through SIR. This is a serious matter. We have democracy here and constitutional rights. No legitimate voter can be deprived of the right to vote in any way. In democracy everyone has the right to vote.
On the questions raised by Sonia Gandhi on India’s silence on the death of Iranian leader Khamenei, the Congress MP said that her article has come at a very right time. India has historical traditional relations with Iran. Have supported each other in bad times. People were still expecting that India would take a stand after Khamenei’s death, but no statement has come from India’s side, which makes it clear that India’s foreign policy has wavered. Earlier India used to take stand on every front. Today it seems that India has completely bowed down to the pressure of America.
