After achieving historic victory in Bihar Assembly elections, the faces of the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister have been exposed. JDU has elected Nitish Kumar as the leader of the legislature party, while BJP has elected Samrat Chaudhary as the leader and Vijay Sinha as the deputy leader.

In such a situation, it is now certain that Nitish will become CM and Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha will become Deputy CM. According to media reports, the official announcement may happen by this evening.

It is noteworthy that Bihar Minister Shravan Kumar said that during the meeting of newly elected MLAs in Bihar capital Patna on Wednesday, JDU supremo Nitish Kumar was elected the leader of the legislative party.

The decision was taken ahead of the meeting of NDA constituents, where Kumar is also expected to be elected the leader of the alliance in the state.

According to the information, Kumar will take oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for a record 10th time at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna on Thursday.

Here, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said that during the meeting of newly elected MLAs in Patna, Bihar on Wednesday, senior BJP leader Samrat Chaudhary was named the leader of the legislative party.

He said that the newly elected MLAs also elected Vijay Kumar Sinha as the deputy leader of the BJP legislature party. Maurya, who was present at the meeting, said, “Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha were elected as the leader and deputy leader of the BJP legislature party respectively.”

In the recently concluded assembly elections, Chaudhary won the Tarapur assembly seat, while Sinha retained the Lakhisarai constituency.

NDA returned to power in Bihar by winning 202 seats in the 243-member assembly, in which BJP got 89, JD(U) 85, LJP(RV) 19, HAM 5 and RLM 4 seats.
