Only hatred is being spread against Muslims: Waris Pathan

Mumbai, May 10 (IANS). All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) national spokesperson Waris Pathan reacted to the Nashik TCS case and Vijay becoming the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Along with this he said that Muslims are being tortured.

On the arrest of key accused Nida Khan in the Nashik TCS case, AIMIM national spokesperson Waris Pathan said, “Our party’s aim has always been to stand with the innocent and the victims. If there was a Hindu sister in Nida Khan’s place, we would have considered her innocent. I have always stood with the innocent and the law.”

Waris Pathan further said, “I believe that everyone should follow the rules of law. Now Nida Khan has been arrested. The case is sub-judice. Do you know what the law says? Any person is considered innocent until proven guilty by the court. Any person is innocent until the court pronounces the verdict. A girl has been declared a terrorist through a trial.”

AIMIM national spokesperson said, “We have been seeing such atrocities against Muslims for a long time. Only hatred is being spread against Muslims. We see it every day. Still seeing atrocities against Muslims in West Bengal. It is the responsibility of the central government administration to stop BJP, TMC or any other party which is indulging in such violence.”

On Minister Sanjay Shirsat’s demand for a probe into the role of AIMIM in the TCS case, Waris Pathan said, “The matter is sub-judice and pending in the court. The entire media is kind of prosecuting them and labeling them as terrorists. This is completely wrong. According to the law, a person is considered innocent until proven guilty in the court.”

Meanwhile, Waris Pathan congratulated Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay on becoming the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

Earlier, Waris Pathan had said, “Everyone knows what was happening in Bengal, there was a complete breakdown of law and order. I was present in Bengal because our party was contesting elections on 11 seats there.”
