Patna, 27 December (IANS). Celebrations continue in the state even more than a month after the declaration of Bihar assembly election results. Vijayotsav was celebrated in Begusarai district on Saturday, where senior BJP leaders and party workers celebrated NDA’s landslide victory with dancing and singing.

During this, Union Minister Giriraj Singh and Bihar Assembly Speaker Dr. Prem Kumar participated in the program. According to sources, both the leaders waved handkerchiefs on the popular Bhojpuri song ‘Jodi Modi Nitish Ke Hit Ho Gayi’.

As soon as the senior leaders joined, the party workers sitting near the stage also started waving handkerchiefs and dancing, due to which the whole atmosphere turned into a festive one.

Assembly Speaker Dr. Prem Kumar, while addressing the gathering, expressed confidence that BJP’s electoral success will extend beyond Bihar to other states.

He said that public trust in Mamata Banerjee is decreasing and in the coming times, lotus will bloom in West Bengal. BJP government will be formed there under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Commenting on the Special Intensive Review (SIR) in West Bengal, Dr. Prem Kumar said that during the upcoming elections, the Election Commission will identify illegal Bangladeshi citizens and deport them from the country.

Dr. Prem Kumar also spoke on the alleged incidents of violence against the Hindu community in Bangladesh and described them as unfortunate and condemnable.

He said it is the constitutional and moral obligation of the Bangladesh government to protect the life and property of minorities.

The Speaker further said that the targeted violence against Hindus has outraged followers of Sanatan Dharma across India and he urged the Bangladesh government to immediately arrest the culprits.

The ceremony coincided with a felicitation and worker felicitation ceremony organized under the leadership of Teghra MLA Rajneesh Kumar at Harsh Garden complex.

Speaking at the event, Teghra MLA Rajneesh Kumar said that party workers are the backbone of any organization and appreciated their role in the development of Teghra assembly constituency.

He said that the dedication of our workers in the development of Teghra is incomparable.

He assured that education, health, roads, electricity and employment will remain our top priorities and pledged to develop Teghra as an ideal constituency.
