PM Modi wrote an emotional letter on Diwali, called Operation Sindoor a victory of religion

Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended warm wishes to the countrymen on the occasion of Diwali and described it as a festival full of energy and enthusiasm. In a letter to the nation, he said this Diwali is the second celebration after the construction of the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya.

The Prime Minister cited teachings from the life of Lord Ram and praised Operation Sindoor, which he said upheld dharma and avenged injustice.

In the letter, he wrote, “Lord Shri Ram teaches us to follow dharma and also gives us the courage to fight injustice. We have seen a living example of this a few months ago. During Operation Sindoor, India not only followed dharma but also avenged injustice.”

Emphasizing the importance of this Diwali, the Prime Minister said that this Diwali, lamps will illuminate many districts, including remote areas, where Naxalism and Maoist terrorism have been eradicated.

He praised those who have decided to shun violence and join the mainstream, renounce Naxalism and embrace the Constitution, calling it a “major achievement” for India.

PM Modi wrote in the letter, “This Diwali is especially special because for the first time, lamps will be lit in many districts across the country, including remote areas. These are the districts where Naxalism and Maoist terrorism have been rooted out. In recent times, we have seen many individuals leaving the path of violence and joining the mainstream of development and expressing faith in the Constitution of our country. This is a great achievement for the nation.”

Prime Minister Modi also recently emphasized on next-generation reforms, including the implementation of lower GST rates on the first day of Navratri.

“Amidst these historic achievements, the country has also ushered in next-generation reforms in recent times. On the first day of Navratri, lower GST rates were implemented,” the letter reads.

He wrote, “During this GST Savings Festival, citizens are saving thousands of crores of rupees. In a world going through multiple crises, India has emerged as a symbol of both stability and sensitivity. We are also on track to become the world’s third largest economy in the near future.”

The Prime Minister urged citizens to contribute to a “developed” and “self-reliant India”, with PM Modi placing special emphasis on the adoption of “swadeshi” products.

He further said in the letter, “In this journey to a “developed” and “self-reliant India”, our primary responsibility as citizens is to fulfill our duties towards the nation. Let us adopt “Swadeshi” (local products) and proudly say: “This is Swadeshi!”

PM Modi wrote in the letter, “Let us promote the spirit of Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat. Let us respect all languages. Let us maintain cleanliness. Let us give priority to our health. Let us reduce the use of oil in our food by 10% and adopt yoga. All these efforts will rapidly take us towards a “developed India”.
