New Delhi, May 15 (IANS). Bharatiya Janata Party leaders on Friday expressed confidence that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s five-nation tour is in India’s interest and can lead to a “diplomatic solution” to the global fuel crisis triggered by the West Asia conflict.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his five-nation tour from May 15 to 20, which includes UAE, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and Italy. The visit aims to further strengthen India’s strategic and economic partnerships in key areas such as energy, defence, technology, green transition and trade.
Speaking to IANS, BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s five-nation tour is certainly very important for India amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia. In these countries, the Prime Minister will present India’s perspective strongly. This will strengthen India’s position and make the country’s role stand out more effectively.”
Bihar minister Ramkripal Yadav emphasized that a large number of Indians live and work in the UAE, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also visiting as part of his tour.
“The Prime Minister is working towards strengthening diplomatic relations,” he said.
Bihar Minister Dilip Jaiswal referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to citizens to reduce diesel and petrol consumption due to the global rise in crude oil prices.
“The initiative has already started based on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal,” he told IANS.
“The Prime Minister is also visiting Gulf countries and other countries to find a diplomatic solution to this issue,” he said.
Uttar Pradesh Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana said that the Prime Minister communicates with other countries on the basis of India’s interests.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s five-nation visit will be successful in terms of the welfare of the country, including international relations, trade and issues related to the current global crisis,” he said.
BJP MP Rahul Sinha also supported that this visit of the Prime Minister is very important to improve the current global situation and further improve India’s diplomatic relations with other countries. He stressed, “I believe that this visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will play an important role in world peace.”
BJP MP Ghulam Ali Khatana noted the improvement in India’s diplomatic relations since Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed power in 2014. “It is one of the visions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that countries which did not trade with us earlier are now ready to invest in India,” he said.
He emphasized that today countries like Russia, America, Middle East and even the European Union want to invest in India and have also opened their markets to India.
