Prime Minister Modi will address the country at 5 pm today, can give information on GST reforms

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation today i.e. at 5 pm on Sunday evening. The authorities have confirmed this. However, no official information has been shared yet about the Prime Minister’s address.

This decision has been taken on the eve of Navratri starting on Monday, and it coincides with the implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms.

Earlier this month, the GST Council introduced GST reforms, cutting tax rates of 12 and 28 percent. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the decision on September 3 while presiding over the GST Council meeting.

Additionally, products and luxury vehicles such as tobacco and paan masala, cigarette, bidi and aerated sugars, luxury vehicles, high -capacity motorcycles, boats and helicopters with high capacity of 350 cc, also have a slab of 40 percent for luxury and harmful items.

Earlier today, the Prime Minister greeted the countrymen on the occasion of Mahalaya.

Prime Minister Modi wrote, “Wish you all a very happy auspicious Mahalaya! As the holy day of Durga Puja comes closer, our life gets filled with light and purpose. Mother Durga’s divine blessings give you unbreakable power, permanent bliss and amazing health.”

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi will visit Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura tomorrow.
