New Delhi, May 9 (IANS). Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva on Saturday condemned Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal’s press conference in which he had called the ED raid at the house of Punjab Aam Aadmi Party President and Minister of State Sanjeev Arora a political conspiracy.
The Delhi BJP president said that Kejriwal looked very nervous during the press conference, which clearly indicated that he was aware that the ED investigation related to Sanjeev Arora could reach him as well, as he appears to be the mastermind of the entire extortion conspiracy.
Sachdeva said the manner of arrest of Punjab Minister Sanjeev Arora in an alleged money laundering case involving builders reflects the 10-year corruption-filled rule of the Aam Aadmi Party, as witnessed earlier in Delhi.
He said that during the corrupt rule of Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi, the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and MPs went to jail in connection with the excise policy scam.
The Delhi BJP President further said that for the last four years, Punjab has become a center of loot for Arvind Kejriwal’s team.
Sachdeva said that just as the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi ran a scam worth thousands of crores of rupees by colluding with liquor contractors, similarly in Punjab too large scale corruption is going on by granting land use change permissions, excessive FAR approvals and plotting permissions to big builders.
He said that two days ago, bundles worth lakhs of rupees were seen flying in the air during the ED raid on the premises of a close aide of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
Sachdeva also said that Sanjeev Arora is not the first Punjab minister to be arrested in corruption cases. Earlier, Aam Aadmi Party ministers Dr. Sanjeev Singla, Fauja Singh Sirari and Aam Aadmi Party MLA Raman Arora have also been arrested on corruption charges.
