New Delhi, July 18 (IANS). Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has expressed deep grief over the tragic accident that took place in the firecracker factory of Ahmedabad. He expressed condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this accident and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. Also appealed to the administration to provide all possible assistance to the victims.
While sharing the post on social media platform ‘X’, Rahul Gandhi said that the news of death of many people in a firecracker factory accident in Ahmedabad is very sad. He said that in this difficult time, his sympathies are with all the bereaved families and he prays to God that the departed souls may rest in peace and the family members may have the strength to bear this grief.
Wishing speedy recovery of those injured in the accident, he said that better treatment should be ensured for all the injured, so that they can recover soon and return to their families.
Rahul Gandhi urged the state administration to provide immediate relief and necessary assistance to all those affected by the accident. He said that at the time of such a crisis, it is the primary responsibility of the government to ensure that relief and rescue operations are conducted with complete sensitivity and speed and the affected families do not have to face any kind of difficulty.
He also made a special appeal to his party workers. Rahul Gandhi said that all Congress workers should fully cooperate with the administration in relief and rescue operations and come forward to provide all possible help to the needy people. He said that in this time of crisis, it is most important to rise above political differences and work in the interest of humanity.
Let us tell you that the death toll in the massive explosion and fire incident that took place in an illegal firecracker manufacturing unit in Vastral area of Ahmedabad, Gujarat on Saturday has increased to 9. According to the Municipal Corporation, eight people died at the LG Hospital, while one person died at the Civil Hospital.
