New Delhi, July 26 (IANS). Congress MP Sukhdev Bhagat praised Rahul Gandhi’s political role and said that he has consistently raised his voice to protect the Constitution, Gandhian values and constitutional institutions. He said that every person has his own thinking and vision, but Congress believes that Rahul Gandhi is playing an important role in the building of the country.
Speaking to news agency IANS, Sukhdev Bhagat said that Rahul Gandhi has made continuous efforts to protect the Constitution and strengthen democratic values. Specially mentioning ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’, he said that through this campaign, Rahul Gandhi established communication with the people and gave the message of unity in the country. He said that Rahul Gandhi has always stood by him on youth issues.
He said that people may have different opinions about Rahul Gandhi, but Congress has its own vision and its own path of struggle. Describing Rahul Gandhi as a visionary leader, he said that even in the present times, he is playing an important role in shaping the future of India.
Meanwhile, Congress MP Manoj Kumar congratulated Union Minister Pralhad Joshi on getting the responsibility of the Education Ministry, but also raised questions on the Central Government regarding the education system of the country.
He said that the condition of the Education Ministry as an institution has deteriorated. He expressed hope that Prahlad Joshi will start his tenure with positive and effective decisions.
Manoj Kumar alleged that the education system is facing serious challenges in many parts of the country. He raised the issue of closure of schools in Uttar Pradesh and teachers being made to do non-academic work in Bihar.
He said that teachers are employed in census, elections and other administrative work, due to which the quality of education is affected.
The Congress MP also targeted the government on issues related to students. He said that his party has been demanding action in this matter for a long time. He claimed that students had to face problems due to government policies and responsibility for this should be fixed.
He also referred to the alleged police action against students in Bihar and alleged that the job of the police is to serve the public and not to use force against them.
Accusing the government of adopting a dictatorial attitude, he said that the voice of the people should be heard in a democratic system.
Referring to recent political developments, he called it a victory for democracy and the Constitution. He said that those who believed that the government could not be challenged were proved wrong. He said that in democracy the people are supreme and governments should pay attention to the expectations and problems of the people.
