Rajasthan: BJP calls Rahul Gandhi’s Kota visit ‘political drama’

राजस्थान: भाजपा ने राहुल गांधी की कोटा यात्रा को बताया ‘राजनीतिक ड्रामा’

Jaipur, June 16 (IANS). BJP national general secretary Sunil Bansal on Tuesday termed Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi’s proposed interaction with students in Kota as “political drama”. He raised the question why this visit of the Congress leader is happening just a few days before the NEET exam.

Sunil Bansal, who was on a visit to Kota, said while talking to journalists that the Central Government has already taken action against the people involved in the NEET paper leak case and the investigation is going on.

He said, “Rahul Gandhi is coming to Kota to do political drama. The students’ exam is after four days. It is beyond comprehension to talk to them at such a time.

Rahul Gandhi is going to talk to students and youth in Kota on June 17 on issues like paper leak, unemployment and academic stress. Defending the central government on the NEET controversy, Bansal said that action has been taken against the culprits and the matter is under investigation.

Taking a jibe at the cockroach party, he said that such political experiments have taken place earlier also, but they have failed. Commenting on the politics of West Bengal, Bansal expressed confidence in the BJP’s prospects and said that people are fed up with years of corruption and law and order problems and want an alternative.

He said, “The people of Bengal have been troubled by corruption and hooliganism for almost 50 years. There is a strong desire for change and people are increasingly supporting the BJP.

On this occasion, Bansal also enumerated the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi government in the last 12 years and said that the focus of the government’s policies has been on development, public welfare and strengthening public confidence.

Many leaders including Education Minister Madan Dilawar, Energy Minister Hiralal Nagar, Kota South MLA Sandeep Sharma, MLA Kalpana Devi, BJP City President Rakesh Jain, former MLA Chandrakanta Meghwal were present in this press conference.
