New Delhi, July 5 (IANS). Prominent leaders of the country, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, paid tribute to former Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan on his birth anniversary. Remembering Ram Vilas Paswan, PM Modi said that he will always be remembered for his dedication towards public service and national service.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on the social media platform
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla posted, “Tributes to the memories of former Union Minister and Padma Bhushan awardee Ram Vilas Paswan on his birth anniversary. His public life dedicated to social justice and the nation will always be remembered.”
Paying tribute to Ram Vilas Paswan, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh wrote on ‘X’, “His entire public life was dedicated to the struggle for social justice, democratic values and the rights of Dalits, backward people and the deprived. Ram Vilas Paswan always kept human sensibilities paramount and even in the policy-making process, he made constant efforts to ensure that even the person standing in the last line of the society gets justice, opportunity and respect. I salute his memory.”
Union Home Minister Amit Shah wrote in the ‘X’ post, “Ram Vilas Paswan’s entire life was dedicated to the welfare of the poor. During the Emergency, he struggled for a long time to protect democratic values and civil rights and endured many tortures. His contribution to democracy and nation building will always remain a source of inspiration. Tributes to Ram Vilas Paswan on his birth anniversary.”
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan also paid tribute to Ram Vilas Paswan on his birth anniversary. He wrote, “I pay my deepest respects to popular politician, former Union Minister and Padma Bhushan awardee Ram Vilas Paswan on his birth anniversary. You will always be remembered for the noble work you have done for serving the nation and upliftment of the weaker section of the society.”
