Scam perpetrators go to jail, do not deserve Bharat Ratna: Janardan Singh Sigriwal

घोटाला करने वाले जेल जाते हैं, भारत रत्न के हकदार नहीं होते: जनार्दन सिंह सिग्रीवाल

Patna, January 10 (IANS). BJP leader Janardan Singh Sigriwal has hit back at the statement of Janashakti Janata Dal national president Tej Pratap Yadav, in which he said that Lalu Prasad Yadav should be given Bharat Ratna. On Tej Pratap’s demand, he said that scammers go to jail and are not entitled to Bharat Ratna.

Talking to IANS, the BJP leader said that now Bharat Ratna should also be given to those people who keep going to jail in scams and keep traveling to jail.

On framing of charges against Lalu family in the land-for-jobs case, BJP leader Janardan Singh Sigriwal said that this is the job of the court. When the court receives evidence, it takes a decision. Because evidence has been found, the court has taken its decision. If you get the responsibility as Chief Minister at any level, then serve the society, not do corruption. Lalu Yadav took land and gave jobs. What happened to those with merit? There was huge corruption at that time, the court has given the right decision.

The BJP leader agreed to give Bharat Ratna to Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. Said that Nitish Kumar worked to end Jungle Raj in Bihar. A government with good governance has been formed. Nitish Kumar continuously took this state on the path of development. His works are being appreciated. We agree with what KC Tyagi has said.

Taking aim at Mamata Banerjee, the BJP leader said that she has misused her position. He should not have gone during the ED action.

Regarding Somnath Swabhiman Parv, the BJP leader said that I thank the faith of Somnath temple from my heart. Our ancestors built temples, which is not a common thing, built temples thousands of years ago. It was decorated in the form of the soul of India.

He said that I would like to tell the people of the country to see Somnath Temple as the soul of India. I express my respect to PM Modi that he has gone there after completion of 1000 years.
