This allegation of Raut has come at a time when there is speculation in political circles that some MPs of Shiv Sena (UBT) may form a separate faction. Earlier, Raut had said that MLAs and MPs keep coming and going, but the party remains. Taking aim at the BJP, he accused the party of breaking into political factions and warned, “When our day comes, we will show how the party breaks.”
**Rebel MPs will meet at Shinde’s son’s residence in Delhi**
According to sources, a meeting of Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs is to be held at Shrikant Shinde’s residence in Delhi at 8:30 am on Wednesday. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Shrikant Shinde will also be present in this meeting. According to reports, after the meeting the MPs will meet the Lok Sabha Speaker. Sources claim that the MPs will first complete the process of forming a separate faction in the Lok Sabha, after which this faction will be merged into the Shinde-led Shiv Sena. It is being told that six MPs from the Uddhav Thackeray faction (UBT) are in touch with the Shinde-led Shiv Sena; Rajabhau Waje’s name is also coming up in these discussions. Shiv Sena (UBT) submitted official letter to Lok Sabha Speaker
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) has submitted an official letter to the Lok Sabha Speaker, demanding that only Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) be recognized as an official political party in Parliament. The party said in its letter that no separate identity, status, facility or privilege should be given to any breakaway group, rebel group or independent group. The letter also requested that if any other faction seeks recognition or special status, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) should be given an opportunity to present its stand before any decision is taken. The party also clarified that it reserves the right to use legal provisions available under the Tenth Schedule of the Constitution (anti-defection law). This letter was sent to the Lok Sabha Speaker by MP and Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) parliamentary party leader Arvind Sawant.
