Ayodhya, July 12 (IANS). People of Sindhi community of Ayodhya gave their reaction in a press conference regarding the donation of 200 silver bricks related to the construction of Ram temple. Community representatives said that this donation was a matter related to reverence and faith and the entire Sindhi society should not be defamed over it.

In the press conference, Naresh Kshetrapal of Ram Nagar Sindhi community, social workers Sandeep Mandyan and Sumit Makhija presented their views on this matter. He said that an organization called Vishwa Sindhi Seva Sangam, headed by Raju Manwani, had collected 200 silver bricks from people of the Sindhi community and they were donated during the construction of Ram temple.

Sumit Makhija said that the silver bricks collected by the organization were given with reverence for the construction of the temple. He said that later a person from the organization expressed his personal opinion regarding some incidents related to the temple, but it is not appropriate to link it with the sentiments of the entire Sindhi community.

Naresh Kshetrapal, a member of Ram Nagar Sindhi Samaj, said that the image of the society has been affected due to some so-called members raising questions regarding donations. In Indian tradition, donation is done secretly and in a selfless spirit. It is not appropriate to make donations given with devotion in any religious function a matter of controversy.

Naresh Kshetrapal alleged that in the name of demanding account of donations from Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, some people tried to defame the Sindhi society. The society has always contributed to religious and social causes and such matters should not be given a political colour.

Social worker Sandeep Mandyan said that the donation of 200 silver bricks was a symbol of faith and dedication. Some people tried to make it a political issue, whereas it was entirely an act related to religious sentiments. Asking for account of donation after giving it is not a part of the traditions and values of Sindhi society.

Sandeep Mandyan said that some people made allegations on this subject because of their political ambitions, but those allegations did not succeed. He appealed that religious and social functions should be kept away from controversies and the unity of the society should be maintained.
