New Delhi, July 6 (IANS). Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Praveen Khandelwal reacted to several contemporary issues including Lord Ram and Sanatan Dharma, Agniveer Yojana, incident of dead lizard allegedly found in mid-day meal in a government school in Delhi, Congress, Shiv Shiv Sena (UBT), Delhi’s new EV policy and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s foreign tour.
BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal, while talking to IANS, supported the statement given by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath regarding Lord Ram and Sanatan Dharma. He said, “Sanatan is the soul and life of India. Lord Shri Ram is the center of faith and reverence of crores of people of the country and his presence is felt in every corner of India.”
He said, “The construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya is the result of a long struggle. This movement was led by many saints and organizations including the late Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Ashok Singhal. The foundation stone and inauguration of the temple became possible due to the determination of lakhs of Ram devotees and the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Today the Ram temple has become the main center of spiritual and cultural consciousness of the country.”
On Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav’s sarcasm on BJP national president Nitin Naveen not going to Ayodhya to visit the Ram temple, Khandelwal said, “The opposition no longer has any positive issue left. The public is continuously rejecting the opposition, and that is why its leaders are only doing politics of allegations and sarcasm. Those who once questioned the existence of the Ram temple and opposed the Ram devotees, are today taking the name of Lord Ram for political gains, but the public is not supporting them.” Understands the intentions very well.”
Responding to the ‘Ram Raksha’ campaign launched by Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, the BJP MP said that Uddhav Thackeray has compromised with the ideology of Balasaheb Thackeray. According to him, in such a situation the public will not take the campaigns run by him seriously.
Taking aim at the Congress, Khandelwal said, “The party is continuously losing public support. The political position of the Congress will further weaken under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi and the public is continuously rejecting it.”
On the incident of a dead lizard allegedly being found in the mid-day meal in a government school in Delhi, he said, “If such an incident has happened, the government has taken immediate cognizance. Strict action will be taken against the culprits, but it would not be appropriate to question the entire mid-day meal scheme on the basis of one incident.”
On Delhi’s proposed EV Policy 2.0, he said that making the capital pollution free is one of the priorities of the government. According to him, the new policy being prepared with the aim of promoting electric vehicles is being made keeping in mind the interests of the common people.
On the question of possible changes in the Agniveer Scheme, Khandelwal said, “This is an important scheme of the Central Government, through which a large number of youth have got opportunities. If any change is made in the form of the scheme in future, it will be done completely keeping in mind the interest of the country and the needs of the armed forces.”
On Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed foreign tour to New Zealand, Australia and Indonesia, he said that India’s trade, strategic and economic relations with these countries will be further strengthened. According to him, these visits will give new strength to India’s global role and international cooperation.
