Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK chief MK Stalin on Sunday highlighted the key welfare measures in the party’s 2026 election manifesto and asserted that it is designed to benefit every section of the society.
The leader announced that insurance facilities would be provided to palm oil workers registered with the Tamil Nadu Palm Oil Workers Welfare Board. Apart from this, their families will also be given financial assistance for education and medical needs.
Describing the manifesto as inclusive, the leader said it has been prepared keeping in mind people in the age group of six to sixty years, women, men, youth and senior citizens. Calling it a “superstar of the 2026 election field”, the leader claimed that the public has widespread faith in the DMK’s promises.
“Anyone can make promises, but people believe only the assurances given by the DMK. The importance of a promise depends on who is making it,” he said.
Criticizing the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Stalin accused the alliance of working against the interests of Tamil Nadu by raising concerns about Tamil culture during the elections.
In the speech K. Historical events related to leaders like Kamaraj and Periyar E.V. were also mentioned. Citing Ramasamy, allegations of long-standing hostility towards Tamil leaders and identity were underlined.
Edappadi K to form alliance with BJP. Criticizing Palaniswami, he alleged that such alliances could hinder the development of Tamil Nadu.
Describing the election as a broader ideological struggle, the leader said the DMK-led alliance was fighting not only for political victory but also for the future of Tamil Nadu. Voters were urged to support this secular progressive alliance in what was described as “a democratic battle between Tamil Nadu and Delhi”.
The leader appealed to the voters in Virudhunagar district to appeal to Minister K.K.S.S.R. Including appealed to support the alliance candidates. Ramachandran (Aruppukottai) and Thangam Thennarasu (Tiruchuzhi), along with other candidates from constituencies like Sattur, Rajapalayam, Sivakasi and Tiruvilputhur.
Reiterating the party’s view, the leader said the upcoming “Dravidian Model 2.0” governance system would surpass past achievements and ensure continued welfare and development in Tamil Nadu.
