Ramanathapuram, April 12 (IANS). Tamil Nadu assembly elections are scheduled to be held on April 23. In such a situation, political activities have intensified across the state as major parties have reached the final phase of election campaign.
Counting of votes will take place on May 4 and results will be declared on the same day. At present, all the parties are trying their best for an exciting election contest.
DMK leader and current Chief Minister MK Stalin continued his aggressive public relations campaign by visiting Ramanathapuram district on Sunday. Waking up early on Sunday morning, Stalin took a walk in Paramakudi, turning what was usually a routine activity into a strategic political event. His walk immediately attracted the attention of local residents, party workers and supporters, many of whom gathered in large numbers to catch a glimpse of the Chief Minister and interact with him directly.
During this conversation, Stalin actively campaigned for votes and appealed to the public to support DMK in the upcoming elections.
The informal atmosphere gave him the opportunity to connect with voters on a personal level, as he listened to their concerns and highlighted his government’s achievements and welfare initiatives.
During this public relations campaign, he was also accompanied by DMK candidates from that constituency, who along with Stalin interacted with the public and sought support.
This joint presence underlined the party’s coordinated campaign strategy, which focuses on direct contact with voters and grassroots mobilization.
As the election campaign enters its crucial final phase, leaders of all parties are adopting a mix of traditional rallies and innovative contact methods including door-to-door interactions and connecting with people in small groups to establish maximum contact with voters.
Stalin’s Paramakudi padayatra is part of a broader strategy aimed at consolidating support in key constituencies.
With a few days left for the election campaign to end, Tamil Nadu is witnessing a surge in political activities. All major parties are trying to gain an edge in this potentially closely contested election.
